He was a serious student; the Dogans did little entertaining. But when their younger son, Furkan, was born in 1991, the family threw a party and a neighbor recalled a toast “to the first U.S. citizen in the family.”
Furkan Dogan would live just two years in Troy, returning to Turkey with his family in 1993. But he was proud of his American passport and dreamt of coming back after completing medical school. Five Israeli bullets — at least two of them to the head — ended that dream on May 31. Dogan was 19.
The young American, who had just completed high school with excellent grades in the central Turkish town of Kayseri, had seen an online advertisement for volunteers to deliver aid to Gaza. The ad, from a Turkish charity called the Humanitarian Relief Foundation, or I.H.H, said the goal of the trip was to show that Israel’s “embargo/blockade can be legally broken.”

many things which included the IRS. Joeseph left a suicide letter behind you can read it below.
Well Mr. Big Brother IRS man... take my pound of flesh and sleep well.
If you're reading this, you're no doubt asking yourself, "Why did this have to happen?"
The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. The writing process, started many months ago, was intended to be therapy
in the face of the looming realization that there isn't enough therapy in the world that can fix what is really broken. Needless to say, this rant could
fill volumes with example after example if I would let it. I find the process of writing it frustrating, tedious, and probably pointless... especially
given my gross inability to gracefully articulate my thoughts in light of the storm raging in my head. Exactly what is therapeutic about that I'm not sure,
but desperate times call for desperate measures.
We are all taught as children that without laws there would be no society, only anarchy. Sadly, starting
at early ages we in this country have been...

power plants in Georgia.
This was the centerpiece in John McCain’s energy strategy. McCain wanted to build 45 new nuclear plants. McCain claimed to
be a supporter of the free marketplace, as does CEO Obama, so why is Gopasskiss subsidizing the free market nuclear power industry? Why at a time of massive
budget deficit, when the United States Senate can only come up with $15 billion for the unemployed, can they so quickly come up with $8.3 billion for two
small plants in Georgia?
In Norway they are using a different approach; plans were recently announced to build the world's largest wind turbine. The turbine
will have a rotor diameter of 475 feet and produce ten megawatts of electricity, or enough for 2,000 homes. This will be a new generation turbine with
reduced weight and fewer moving parts. The prototype will be built at a cost of $23 million and tested for two years before going into full production.

law thus distorts our shared values and common sense by its application of rarified opaque terminology and legalistic logic, rooted in arcane precedent
and procedure, which drives outcomes which often defy what makes good sense. That is an easy attack to make in this case.
